The mid-morning sun dazzles the water in the Monterey Harbor. This scene is along the recreation path which goes south from the harbor. In the middle distance is Rappa’s Restaurant at the end of Fisherman’s Wharf. My 80-year-old father lives in one of those boats in the harbor and while I was painting this picture I saw him rowing his skiff ashore. That’s why the alternative title of this painting is “Dad’s Harbor”.
