This sloping field with coyote bush lies next to the Coyote Ridge Trail in the open space preserve called Fremont Older. The eucalyptus and the preserve have a grand view of the Santa Clara Valley in the distance and far to the east, Mission Peak. The hike to this location is about 3 miles.
