The derelict and abandoned Mulberry Hill mansion stands decaying in the summer sun. Elegant wallpaper is now peeling away from the walls. Marble fireplaces are cold. There is a musty smell. The air is still.
Up the curving staircase to the top of the house, in an empty room with slanting walls and little attic windows, hangs an old wedding dress, veil, and shoes. The family that lived in this house for generations has abandoned it to ruin. The question is, why was this wedding dress left behind?
