Toro peak rises up in the background under the sun and a sprinkling of silver clouds. When this was painted, the field around the farm houses was freshly plowed. It is early in the day and the sun casts a shadow across the roof of one of the buildings. As I painted, I sensed someone behind me. I turned and said to the man standing there, “You’re the owner, aren’t you?” “Yup.” He is the one who told me that the little farm, now part of a large tract, is called “Jacks Ranch”.
