At the Tor House, Robinson Jeffers’ old stone house in Carmel, the back stone wall has a picket gate that opens out onto a hillside that slopes down to the road and the beach. The view from the garden, through the Sea Gate, is of Carmel Bay and Point Lobos in the distance.
