The old beach house is near Point Joe along 17 Mile Drive. It sits on a cove popular with surfers. Since I painted this many people have told me stories about the place. I’ve been told it was a bath house for the beach in front of it, that it was used as a location in the film “One-eyed Jacks”, and that at one time this was the caretakers cottage for the country club. But now it is used for small events.
